The Picture of Calm

Just a photo today. This one is of Lily and my older daughter when they were competing in jumpers some years ago.

I love the expressions on both their faces - they both look almost meditative, although concentrated. My daughter said of the photo "she'd thrown me up hard and I was clinging on for dear life". You'd never know it from their expressions - I love how calm and just plain happy they both look. Have a great weekend!

  2. what a great photo! lily looks like an amazing jumper and your daughter must be quite a rider to stay with her like that after such a big effort - and have fun at the same time :-)

  3. Di - thanks! We used to do gadgets in a big way - if you want to read about our past with gadgets, and some of how we got to the point you see in the picture, check out my May 9 post.

jme - thanks, my daughter is truly an amazing rider - Lily had one of those big, round, crack-the-back jumps - I've jumped her and you had to really ride correctly to not end up completely out of the tack.

  4. Lily is gorgeous with her knees too! I'm not surprised she "cracks her back" over the fence with a jumping form like that!

I too like the "minimalist" tack. Shows some good training along the way and a tactful rider.
