Norman Video

As some of you may know, our pony Norman retired at the end of June to live in Tennessee at a wonderful retirement farm. Melissa of Paradigm Farms sent me a link to a wonderful video she took of Norman (wandering the barn aisles as he feels like - he has the run of the farm) grooming over the stall door with a HUGE, but very sweet Selle Francais named Faune - I love how gently Faune is nibbling on Norman's back - I think Faune's head is bigger than Norman's head and neck combined - and look how far Norman has to stretch!

Thanks, Melissa!

What really makes me laugh is the eyecontact Faune has with Melissa behind the camera. There is love in those eyes, as well as contentment and a bit showing off, I believe?
Our horses are just wonderful!

Norman is the best! One of my nephews and my niece were in town the last couple of weeks and they were all over Norman, petting him, brushing him, and giving him some carrots. Norman was SO GOOD with them, quiet and patient. He learned to go up to my parents' backyard so they would see him and come out of the house - Norman is also very smart!!

Oh! How adorable! I love the expression in Faune's eye (which I interpreted as contentment -- relaxed and slightly sleepy looking). And look at Norman stretching to reach! He's SO cute!

It must be the season of cute videos and pictures because I have made this comment before---Awwww! Too cute for words. Norm seems to have found his calling in life. It's wonderful to see a retiree living the high life--even if he has to stand on tippy toes to do it.

I think Norman has a girlfriend! He seems to have settled right in and made some great friends. It's so nice to get such personal updates on your horses! I'm sure it keeps your mind at peace that they are doing so well there!
