Norman Enjoys Life

For those of you who follow the Paradigm Farms blog, my apologies for double-posting these photos and videos (taken by Melissa) of Norman enjoying his life in retirement.

Here he is playing with one of his closest girlfriends:

And here's some more playing, and then grooming after they were done with their playing:

I can never get enough doses of Norman ultimate cuteness, and it delights me to see how much he's enjoying his life with Jason and Melissa.

  3. I haven't seen horses groom one another's tails before, just withers, shoulders, and backs. How cute!

Panama loves playing like that with his friends (I call it bitey face, for obvious reasons), but he's not really much of a groomer. Too bad!

  4. I love seeing horses socialize and interact. I have to feel so sorry for horses that never get turned out with friends. How sad a life that must be for them.

    Norman is such a cutie!!

  5. Hi Kate-
My name is Kelsey and a girl I used to ride with, Jess Rupsch, showed me your blog because I used to be Norman's owner when I was at Tievoli Farm! I am so happy to see Norman doing so well! thanks for posting this, and give him a hug for me!

  7. Kelsey - so delighted to hear from you! Yes, Norm has quite the life of luxury these days - if you search his label you will see tales of his adventures with us. He was my younger daughter's show pony from the time she was 8 until she was 12. We decided not to sell him on because he came to us with some serious aggression issues which we think were created by his situation after he left you and before he came to us. Ponies often end up going from hand to hand and we wanted Norm to have a better life than that.
