Kate, thanks for posting this. I read the post and it's very interesting; I will have to go back and read more of her writings. Although I am not going to do a lot of dressage work with Gilly it is all good information to know and teaching the horse new things it GOOD! (good for me too)
ReplyDeleteI used to ride with Axel Steiner. He was a most inspiring coach. But he used to say that leg yields are a useless movement - they disappear after 1st Level. I don't agree or disagree; I just think that's an interesting point of view.
ReplyDeleteTerry - I would agree in part - I think of leg yields as an introductory lateral movement, good at that stage.
