Alphabet Soup: A is for . . .

A is for:

Attitude - the attitude you bring to the horse is likely to be the attitude you get in return.

Attention - the horse deserves our full and undivided attention.

Ask - not demand, or insist, or force, or make - ask: request with clearness, respect, patience and persistence, and then shape the try.

  1. How about "answer." It's important to give your horse feedback when he/she responds to your "ask" in the right way.

    Nice post.

  2. Good post. How about "adjust." I feel that we can always adjust our purpose/riding/training goals for the day to work with the horse we have at the moment.
