One Horse, Two Horse, Three Horse, Four (!) . . .

Sometimes people ask me which of my horses I like best.  I'm always stumped by this question - how could I choose?  Each horse is uniquely wonderful (and occasionally uniquely annoying), and just so specifically his or her own self, and our relationships deepen every day.  I love each of them for who being exactly who they are.

Here are my three, in the order they came to me:

One horse (Dawn):

Two horse (Pie):

Three horse (Red):

But I have room for one more horse in my heart.  In January sometime, there will be a four horse, to be loved and cherished along with the other three  . . .

Anyone recognize this sweet face?

  1. That is Missy!

What a lucky mare. She has won the horsey lottery for the second time (the first time with her very dedicated owner, of course).

  2. Looks like Missy, from the Simply Horse Crazy blog. If so, what a wonderful win-win-win solution for all concerned!! If not, clearly still a win-win-win. Congrats on your new horse, and for opening your heart to another lucky horse!

  3. WHAT! This is the best news ever! :D I read both your blogs and have to admit to being a little worried that Missy somehow wouldn't get the best home...but after hearing this--no more worries :)

  4. Don't know the mare- and didn't know you have another blog, but I'm sure Missy will be just as loved and well cared for as the other three.

  11. Now I have to go find that other blog and get Missy's history! Congratulations! It sounds like it might be a similar story to us getting Pistol. I love it when the horse wins a great home.

  12. OH!!!!! This just made my day! I love that girl and her horse and to see that Missy is going to be with you is just down right exciting! Missy could not have a better home, and I have no doubt that Mary will be able to breathe and continue on her quest for knowledge with no regrets what so ever. YOU are an angel!

  16. It was undoubtedly a hard decision for Mary, but I'm sure she's found contentment and a sense of having done her best for Missy when you found each other. You'll love and care for her as she would...wonderful news!!
